Flowers in my Garden

Updated: Jul 28, 2020

This week we shared about the beautiful borage flowers growing at our very special market garden, at Canara Farm, in Mylor.

We wanted to know what type of flowers are growing in your garden and what recipes you liked to use with them. Mrs H Beaton from Helston had this to say.

' I didn’t have a vegetable garden at the start of lockdown. Everything here is home grown and i'm making an ace tomato and flower/herb salad and herb and flower lettuce salads too. Here is a photo of the plant bed's my husband and i have built. '

' We've grown Cornflowers blue & pink, Calendula flowers, Courgette flowers, Red & varied greens basil, Mustard flowers, Radish flowers, Red & black tomatoes, Varied red and green lettuce, Spinach, Parsley, Coriander flowers and some rainbow beetroot’s for good measure! I’m so proud of what can be achieved in a few months of lockdown '

Mrs D Lewis from St. Austell also shared with us, her comment was:

' I put in a packet of borage seeds at the beginning of lockdown and this is the result. I have them everywhere in my garden now 😄 It really is so rewarding to see so many bees in the garden! '

What are you most proud of during your time in lockdown? Share your story with us today, we would love to hear from you. See you soon.
