Which Rebelicious product best represents me and why?
Beetroot and Horseradish Ketchup, I love purple and beetroot, as well as like the illustrations by Rupert Skelton, he has hand drawn some great characters on the front, plus it does taste delicious with a bit of a kick!
Who's idea was it to make the range & how did it come about?
I was working in London and commuting, with a young child and couldn’t find any simple sauces and condiments low in salt and sugar, however we started creating them and giving them to the other NCCT mums, it took off from there.
How would you inspire a busy family to reach for Rebelicious for their mid-week meals?
They can see recipes on our website, as well as cooking tips. They are super quick to use, with heating only 5mins, you can mix our Roasted Pepper and Tomato sauce in to pasta for a super quick meal, without the need to fry any extra vegetables. The Beetroot and horseradish ketchup is a healthy alternative to ketchup with some home made potato wedges.
If you knew then what you know now what would you do differently?
I would have gone straight to ambient rather than making chilled sauces, that we first did. Invested in a bigger moulin, it has been a life saver!
What’s next for Rebelicious
We are launching a new Teryaki Sauce, and curry sauce as well as a new ketchup, very exciting!
Covid 19 specific question – what’s the most positive thing you will take away from this time?
We have redesigned our labels, launched a range of soft drinks as well, with it’s own website. We have concentrated on our ecommerce side as well as just completing our first export to Saudi Arabia.
